The Insurance Process

Once you have had a drone inspection of your roof and met with one of our roofing specialists to discuss the storm damage found, you will need to decide if you want to file a claim with your insurance. For some, the process of filing an insurance claim may seem scary and you may have several questions. Our roof specialists will be there to walk you through the process and assist you when you are ready to move forward. Filing a claim with your insurance is relatively simple. Here is what you can expect:

  • You can file your claim over the phone or online. You will notify the insurance company of the type of claim you are filing and the date of loss, which will be the date your specialist gives you of the storm that hit your neighborhood.
  • Once the claim is filed, you will be contacted by an insurance adjuster to schedule a time to review the damage.
  • On the date of the appointment the adjuster and your Northpoint Roofing Specialist will come out and inspect the roof. He or she will then decide if the damage meets the insurance companies’ criteria to be covered by your policy.
  • Once the adjuster determines that your claim is approved your roofing specialist will bring you the contract, which will outline the scope of work to be performed. Upon signing the contract your job will move into production.
