SHINGLE
SELECTION

To protect your home from damage, your shingles need to withstand rain, wind, hail, and more. But they should also add to your home’s value and curb appeal.

Asphalt shingles are the most commonly used roofing material for residential properties because of their affordability, durability, and classic appearance. You can customize the color and style to suit your home.

GAF is one of the most well-known names when it comes to asphalt shingles. GAF provides traditional-looking asphalt shingles, as well as types that offer a more elevated look.

CHOOSE THE BEST SHINGLES FOR YOUR HOME

The type of shingles you choose depends on your geographic location, the style of your home, and more. When you need residential roofing services, turn to the GAF-certified contractors at Northpoint Roofing. We provide free roof drone inspections to identify any vulnerabilities in your roofing system, and we can recommend ideal shingles for the look you want and the longevity you expect.

PROS OF GAF TIMBERLINE
ROOFING SHINGLES

Timberline HDZ Shingles are one of the most popular shingles on the market, made by GAF, an industry-leading manufacturer.

Timberline HDZ Shingles feature LayerLock technology that makes installation faster and easier. The strike zone, where the nails are put into the shingle, is over 600% larger than other top shingles, making mistakes far less likely. Less labor is required to install them as well—installation times for LayerLock shingles are up to 30% faster than for other shingles.

Because of the advanced seal and bond created by LayerLock technology, Timberline HDZ Shingles offer a wind warranty with no maximum wind speed limit with a four-nail per shingle application. For comparison, GAF’s previous model, the Timberline HD, has a 130 mph capacity with a six-nail per shingle application.

Timberline HDZ Shingles use time-release copper instead of traditional algae-resistant copper coatings that wear down and become less effective over time. StainGuard Plus Algae Protection offers a 25-year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration.

If you sell your home, the warranty can be transferred to the buyer, adding a great amount of value to your home.

The Difference Between
GAF Timberline HDZ & UHDZ Shingles

Highly recommend! I had not heard of Northpoint Roofing before they knocked on my door offering a free roof inspection via drone technology. I was impressed by their professionalism throughout the entire process. They really worked with us through every step and took on the burden of dealing with our insurance agency as our advocate. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and handled the roof installation very efficiently in one day! You can't go wrong working with this company.

Excellent company to work with. Keith and Gene stepped me through the insurance process for my roof and gutters, had a subcontractor ready for repairs and painting, and were quick to respond to every inquiry along the way. Everything was explained and accomplished- including any detail I found that didn't look right. Every drip, spot or feature was revisited to my satisfaction with courtesy and a willingness to do the work right. The final result is a properly done, beautiful home. Thanks guys.
