Roof Warranties

When replacing your roof due to storm damage from wind or hail, an important thing to consider is the type of warranty your new roof will have. There are many types of warranties available, and you should make sure you understand what is covered with the warranty you are being offered. The responsibility of securing a contractor who offers warranties falls to the homeowner, not the insurance company, so be sure to do your due diligence before signing a roof replacement contract. Below are some of the warranty options you may find.

Labor Warranty

This type of warranty covers the labor cost only. The cost of materials is not covered by a labor warranty.

Installation Warranty

An Installation warranty covers any roof defects due to improper installation.

Material Warranty

Material warranties ensure that the materials installed on your roof are free from manufacturer defects or are replaced if manufacturer defects are found. They do not protect against faulty installation.

Our Northpoint Warranties

Here at Northpoint roofing, all installs come with a 10 year Labor warranty. This workmanship warranty covers all workmanship defects related to installed work only.  Northpoint Roofing Systems will provide service without charge, for the 10 year warranty Period, after installation of the product if a problem occurs due to workmanship, both interior & exterior. This warranty is transferable once with written notice.

In addition to the labor warranty, all Northpoint roofs come with a limited lifetime warranty on shingles. This means that the shingles are warrantied against manufacturer defects for the life of the shingle.

Customers can also upgrade to a 4 star manufacturer warranty that covers labor and materials for up to 50 years for an additional cost.
